Anthurium ‘Joli Peach’ is a beautiful variety of Anthurium, a genus of flowering plants. They have large, heart-shaped leaves and attractive flowers. On this Anthurium they are a light peachy-pink colour.

Where am I from?

The Anthurium 'Joli Pink' is a cultivar of the Anthurium plant, which is native to tropical regions of Central and South America, particularly the rainforests of Colombia and Ecuador.

However, it's important to note that the specific 'Joli Pink' cultivar is a product of human cultivation and breeding. It has been selectively bred to showcase its distinct pink flowers and unique characteristics.

Light

Anthuriums prefer bright, indirect sunlight. They can tolerate some direct sunlight, particularly in the early morning or late afternoon, but too much direct sun can scorch their leaves.

It's best to place your Anthurium in a location where it can receive bright, filtered light for most of the day.

If you notice that your plant's leaves are turning yellow or brown, it may be getting too much sunlight. In this case, you can move it to a slightly shadier location. On the other hand, if the plant's leaves start to droop and lose their color, it may not be getting enough light, and you may need to move it to a brighter location.

Water

Anthurium ‘Joli Peach’ plants prefer to be kept evenly moist but not overly wet. Overwatering can lead to root rot, which can be fatal to the plant.

Water the plant when the top inch (2.5 cm) of soil feels dry to the touch. This will typically require watering once per week, but can vary depending on the temperature and humidity of your environment.

During the winter months, when the plant's growth slows down, you may need to water it less frequently.

If you notice that the plant's leaves are turning yellow or drooping, it may be a sign of overwatering or underwatering. Adjust your watering schedule accordingly.

Humidity

Anthurium ‘Joli Peach’ plants prefer moderate to high humidity, which is similar to the humidity found in their native tropical environments.

Aim for a humidity level of around 60 to 80 percent, which can be achieved by placing a humidifier near the plant or by grouping it with other plants to create a microclimate of higher humidity.

Mist the plant's leaves regularly to help increase humidity and prevent the leaves from drying out.

Avoid placing the plant near sources of dry air as this can cause the plant's leaves to dry out and turn brown.

Am I Pet Friendly?

No, unfortunately, Anthurium ‘Joli Peach’ is not considered pet-friendly. If ingested, it can cause irritation and swelling in the mouth, tongue, and throat, which can make it difficult for your pet to breathe. Therefore, it's important to keep this plant out of reach of children and pets.
