Coleus 'Orchard Road' is a visually striking cultivar celebrated for its vivid and colourful foliage. This variety showcases leaves that can feature a mesmerizing blend of deep purples, vibrant pinks, and rich greens, often with intricate patterns and bold veining that make each leaf appear as a work of art. Like other Coleus varieties, 'Orchard Road' is grown primarily for its decorative leaves, which can add a dramatic splash of color to both indoor and outdoor environments.

Light

Prefers bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate some shade, vibrant leaf colors are best maintained with adequate light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can bleach the leaves.

Watering

Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Coleus plants are sensitive to over and under-watering, so it's crucial to find a balance.

Temperature

Prefers warm conditions. Ensure temperatures stay above 15°C as Coleus is sensitive to cold.

Humidity

Enjoys moderate to high humidity levels. Indoor plants may benefit from occasional misting or a pebble tray to increase humidity.

Fertilizing

Feed with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 2-4 weeks during the growing season. Reduce feeding in the fall and winter.

Pruning

Pinch back the tips of the stems regularly to encourage bushier growth and prevent legginess. This will also help maintain the plant's compact, attractive shape.

Pests and Diseases

Keep an eye out for common pests such as aphids, spider mites, and whiteflies. Treat infestations promptly with appropriate measures. Proper air circulation and avoiding waterlogged soil can help prevent fungal diseases.
