The Epipremnum Happy Leaf Pothos, also known as Manjula Pothos is a popular variety of the Pothos plant family. It is recognized for its unique and attractive variegation.

Where do I come from?

I am native to Southeast Asia.

Sunlight

Epipremnum plants prefer bright, indirect light. They can tolerate some direct morning sun but should be protected from strong afternoon sunlight. They can also adapt to lower light conditions, though their growth may be slower.

Watering

Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly until water runs out the bottom of the pot, but ensure the plant is not sitting in standing water. Over-watering can lead to root rot.

Humidity

Epipremnum plants appreciate higher humidity, though they're relatively adaptable. If your home is particularly dry, consider placing a humidifier nearby or placing the plant on a tray filled with pebbles and water (the bottom of the pot should sit above the water, on the pebbles).

Fertilising

During the growing season (spring and summer), feed your plant once a month with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer diluted to half the recommended strength.

Temperature

Epipremnum prefers temperatures between 15-27°C. Avoid sudden temperature drops and cold drafts.

Pruning

To maintain a bushier appearance, you can trim long vines. This encourages the plant to develop more side shoots. Additionally, remove yellow or damaged leaves to keep the plant looking its best.

Repotting

Repot every 2-3 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Choose a pot that's 1-2 inches larger in diameter than the current one. Fresh potting soil will provide additional nutrients.

Pests and Diseases

Watch out for common houseplant pests like spider mites, mealybugs, and aphids. If noticed, treat with insecticidal soap or neem oil.

Am I Pet Friendly?

Epipremnum plants are toxic if ingested. Keep them away from pets and children.

What size am I?

I come in a 12cm pot.
