Senecio herreianus (String of beads) is a unique, succulent like plant with trailing stems of oval, bead-like leaves. They are perfect for shelves as they love to trail! A close relative of this plant is The String of Pearls. They are a relatively easy plant if you can get the watering right.

Where do I come from?
I am native to South Africa
Light
The string of beads requires indirect bright light but don’t place on a window sill for example that gets full sun all day.
Water
They don’t need much water so wait till the top layer of the soil is dry before watering again. They will benefit from bottom watering too! Avoid over-watering as this can cause root rot. Water less in the winter. If you squeeze the beads and they are firm don’t water but if they are soft and squishy it will need a water.
Humidity
I like a dry environment so require no additional humidity care.
Am I Pet Friendly?
Sadly I am Not Pet-Friendly.
What Size am I?
