Marble Queen Pothos, also known as Epipremnum aureum 'Marble Queen,' is a popular and striking cultivar of the Pothos plant. It's characterised by its heart-shaped leaves with variegated patterns of creamy white and green, resembling marble. This plant is highly valued for its ornamental foliage, which adds a touch of elegance and brightness to any indoor space. It's a versatile and low-maintenance plant that's well-loved by both beginners and experienced plant enthusiasts alike.

Light

Marble Queen Pothos thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate lower light conditions but may exhibit slower growth and less variegation. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. Place the plant near a window where it can receive filtered sunlight or in a location with bright, indirect light.

Watering

Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings, then water the plant thoroughly until water drains from the bottom of the pot. Marble Queen Pothos is relatively forgiving of occasional underwatering but is sensitive to overwatering, which can lead to root rot. Ensure that excess water can drain freely from the pot to prevent waterlogging.

Humidity

Marble Queen Pothos tolerates a wide range of humidity levels but prefers moderate to high humidity. Increase humidity by misting the leaves regularly, placing a humidity tray filled with water beneath the plant, or using a humidifier. This will help prevent leaf browning and keep the foliage looking lush and vibrant.

Temperature

Keep Marble Queen Pothos in a warm environment with temperatures between 15°C to 29°C. It can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures but is sensitive to cold drafts. Avoid placing it near doors, windows, or air conditioning vents that can expose it to drafts.

Soil

Plant Marble Queen Pothos in well-draining, aerated soil. A mixture of peat moss, perlite, and compost works well. Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogging, which can cause root rot.

Fertilisation

Feed Marble Queen Pothos with a balanced liquid fertiliser diluted to half-strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce fertilisation frequency during the dormant winter months. Overfertilisation can lead to salt buildup in the soil, which can harm the plant.

Pruning

Trim leggy stems and remove any yellowing or damaged leaves regularly to promote bushier growth and maintain the plant's appearance. Pruning also helps to prevent the plant from becoming too unruly.

Propagation

Marble Queen Pothos is easy to propagate through stem cuttings. Simply cut a healthy stem below a node and place it in water or moist potting soil until roots develop. Once roots have formed, transplant the cutting into its own pot with well-draining soil.
